C-Zone

C Zone – Children at Saint Aidan’s

Recommences on Sunday 30th October

St Aidan’s has a lively network of families involved in our parish life and we value and encourage the contribution of children to all aspects of our worship. As a parish we have a commitment to helping parents in the Christian education of your children and supporting you as parents in the spiritual formation of your family.  Every Sunday in term time CZone happens during our 9.30am Service.

The CZone leaders are a dedicated group of teachers who meet regularly to plan and pray for this group of children. They have a vision for growing these children in the Christian faith.

Age Groups – There are three age-groups at CZone;

Chips                age 3 – Year 1

Squoodgies       Years 2 and 3, and

Senior CZone Years 4-6.

What happens?

The children begin their worship with their families in church during the 9.30 am service, and then leave the Service to go to their CZone programme. We begin our CZone activities all together with music, games and other similar activities. The group then divides into their age groups. We are currently using the Seasons of the Spirit syllabus.

Other organised activities during the year include for example, visiting other Sunday schools, plays, car-wash days raising money for charity, and the annual Christmas Pageant.

Parents at Saint Aidan’s

In line with our commitment to supporting parents, St. Aidan’s offers both social and educational evenings for CZone parents. We enjoy relaxing together and if there is any way we can support you in the spiritual growth of your children, please don’t hesitate to ask one of the parish staff team.

We hope this information is helpful to you and that you’ll consider involving your child or children in activities at St. Aidan’s.
