Di’s Doodles
On a cold, wet, blustery day, where do you turn for comfort, security and warmth?
Chicken soup, your favourite puffer jacket, an open fire, or a hot water bottle perhaps?
In our spiritual lives, we can go through autumn seasons where we are in need of that same sense of security… For some it’s a time to deepen their faith, whilst for others it can be a time when they struggle to find God and almost despite themselves, they seem to drift further away.
One of the purposes of church is to provide a safe place; a place where we can gather whatever the season of life we find ourselves in.
My hope is that St Aidan’s is such a place for all who come here… If it isn’t, I’d like to know about that, and have the opportunity to help bring about some change. If it is, to God be the glory.
