Reverend Di Woods - Vicar of St. Aidan’s, Remuera.
Di was previously the Vicar of All Saints, Taradale, Napier before arriving here in April. Before going to All Saints, Di was an Air Force Chaplain based at Auckland for 4 years and, prior to that, she was Priest Assistant at Holy Trinity, Tauranga for 3 years. Di was brought up in England and came to NZ in 1987 and, after a short stint in the Air Force herself, decided to study at the Bible College of NZ (now Laidlaw College) where she obtained a Bachelor of Ministry, majoring in both Pastoral Leadership and Spiritual Formation. From there she went on to St. John’s College, completing her theological training in 1996. Di is an outstanding priest who brings wonderful personal and leadership qualities to Saint Aidan’s with a faith anchored in Christ and sound biblical teaching. She has also proved that she is able to relate to a broad range of people and outlooks.
The Reverend Craig Harris -Priest Associate
The Reverend Craig Harris arrived at Saint Aidan’s at St Aidan’s in October 2008. Craig is a valued and enthusiastic member of the Saint Aidan ministry team. Craig was educated at Canterbury University, graduating with a BSc and worked in various areas of business management before attending Bible College and Saint Johns College. Before his appointment to Saint Aidan’s Craig held the role of Assistant Priest on the staff team at the Church of the Good Shepherd in the Parish of Massey, West Auckland. For relaxation, Craig is an avid reader and a jogger, competing in half marathons. Craig’s wife Dr Sarah Harris is also an ordained Priest, engaged in university lecturing. They are blessed with a family of four young adult children: Sam, James and twins Jeremy and Lydia.
The Right Reverend Peter Atkins
Bishop Peter served as the Bishop of Waiapu before moving to Auckland and Saint Aidan’s in 1991 to take up the position as Dean of Saint John’s Theological College in Auckland. Whilst now retired, Bishop Peter has taken an active part as a valuable member of the parish ministry team since 1991, and regularly takes services at St Aidan.
The Reverend Jeny Terrell – Priest Assistant, Senior Care
The Reverend Jeny Terrell has been an active priest and member of the parish ministry team since 1980, and regularly performs all types of services in the parish. Her work includes a ministry focus of senior care with the elderly within our parish.
