Visions and Values
In the fullness of our relationship with God, we are a community of:
Worship – celebrating God’s love;
Caring – being God’s love for one another;
Mission – taking God’s love into the world.
To make our vision reality, we seek to:
Be a community where we all find mutual support and reinvigoration that enables us to live with a heart and mind open to the world.
Help people recognise their spiritual gifts, which they use to serve and express the love of God in the parish and the wider world.
As a community of faith we understanding that life for many is hectic and work can be all-absorbing and so we seek to offer nourishment for the journey as we gather in worship.
We value the variety in our worship, which has an intergenerational focus.
We value quality teaching that helps us know God and connects with our everyday living.
We encourage our community to pray for each other and through prayer touch the world.
We affirm that the primary place for expressing our life as a Christian is in the home and wider community.
We seek to develop our parish mission through Vision Groups, through which we invite all parishioners to contribute according to their gifts and interests.
We support mission agencies and communities beyond our parish, in the wider Anglican Church and beyond, such as the Auckland Anglican City Mission, the Anglican Trust for Women and Children, CMS, Habitat for Humanity, as well as a variety of special appeals for local and international mission projects.
