The Reverend Sarah Stevens-Cross

Rev’d Sarah has made the difficult decision to tender her resignation as Vicar of St Aidan’s. We pray for Sarah, Richard, Keziah and Sophia as they seek God’s will for their future.

Kim will continue as Priest in Charge during this transitional period, as we search for a new Vicar.

A message from Sarah: “It is with deep sadness that I step down as Vicar of St Aidan’s, Remuera. Being in leadership and ministry amongst you has been a dream of mine for many years. As a family, we were so excited to join you in November 2024.

These past three months of leave have been a profound gift to me, allowing me time to
undergo treatment, to rest and to recuperate. Thank you for your grace and understanding during this time. While my health has improved, my ongoing neurological condition means that, despite my best efforts, I am not able to fulfil my responsibilities as your Vicar.

St Aidan’s is a community with great strength and possibility. You need strong leadership you can rely on to lead you forward. I am very sad and sorry that I cannot be the person to offer that. Please pray for me, and for our family, as I will pray for you – trusting that God goes with us
all on this unexpected journey.”
